The Wonderland Currency Exchange

Gold in Pre-Searing Ascalon is worth more than its Post-Searing counterpart. Why? Because one can take gold forward, but not back, along the Guild Wars timeline! The result of this is less gold available in Pre-Searing, so it is more sought after.

An important part of doing this job is to provide safety from those who would take advantage of this trust-based service. Please visit my new WALL OF SHAME for a list of toons who have done something to deserve their inclusion!

How The Trade Works

Select whether you are selling pre-searing or post gold and ectos:

Selling from Pre-Searing:

1. Go to Allisa Wonderland in Pre-Searing Ascalon City, District 1. (see the map page)

2. Speak with me to confirm I am ready for the deal.

3. Open trade, offer your gold and black dye.

4. Tell me who your toon is and whether you want to meet in Balthazar.

5. Find Night Wonderland. She wears an identical dress to Allisa and stands by the Zaishen Mission Flag in Balthazar, District 1.

6. Open trade, receive your post gold.

7. Wash, rinse and repeat! Thanks again and bring more anytime!

Selling from Post:

1. Go to Allisa Wonderland in Pre-Searing Ascalon City, District 1.  (see the map page)

2. Confirm with me that I am ready for the trade, tell me the post toon’s name and and travel to Balthazar D1

3. Find Night Wonderland in the selected location. She wears an identical dress to Allisa and stands by the Zaishen Mission Flag in Balthazar, District 1.

4. Give Night the Post items that you are trading for Pre-Searing Gold and Black Dye.

Why Am I Safe?

In a typical trade, both sides offer their wares in single transaction. When you do a Pre/Post trade, there is a point where one person has everything and the other has nothing. This kind of deal requires that most important of things.. TRUST!

My hard and fast rule is that the customer always goes first. Why?

I have set up my “shop” just for this purpose
I will be in the same place tomorrow, you probably won’t be.

In the time since I started trading in Pre-Searing Ascalon, I built up a solid reputation with all of the local traders. Trading is my favourite part of the game (hence the website!), so it’s not in my best interest to throw away all my efforts.

Fortunately, I also have numerous references available, including M Lady Necrell. See References for more!

Still unsure?

If you are still wary of giving up your gold with nothing in return, I have a solution:

Small Amounts

If you have 50,000 gold, start with 10k, or 51k. I don’t want to do it ALL in 5k increments, but we can work up slowly.

After the first trade, you will be happy with the fine service and become yet another of my long list of happy customers.

See you in District 1!
